Welp, I read the whole thing and all along he basically says that the driver messed up. He even says at the end "a win is a win", then when pointed out that he beat the driver, not the car, he agree's again.

He also says he isnt sure if it was him or the STi that spun their tires.

So where's this Crossfire hostility coming from?

As according to Car and Driver:

Dodge Crossfire SRT-6

"The Japanese-made IHI supercharger does whack time off the Crossfire's track numbers in big chunks. A 60-mph run now swiffs by in 5.1 seconds, a 1.4-second improvement over a six-speed manual Crossfire we tested in 2003. That car ran the quarter in 14.8 seconds at 96 mph. The SRT-6 posts a 13.5-second quarter, steaming through the trap at 107 mph. Whether it's the next green light down the avenue or the gap between two rigs guarding the freeway merge lane, "up there" is "right here" much sooner in an SRT-6."

and....

Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type RA Spec C

"Despite the obsessive reductions, our tester weighed just 116 fewer pounds than the lightest WRX we've measured. Still, with the extra power and more closely spaced gearing, the STi Type RA Spec C rips to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. That's almost a second faster than most WRXs we've tested (we made a 5.4-second run in a standard WRX, but others have been in the 5.8-to-5.9-second range). The Type RA Spec C is as quick as a Mustang Mach 1 and quicker, by a few 10ths, than the Nissan 350Z."

Irregardless of what some kid wrote, get used to the fact that the new SRT-6 CAN and WILL run with the streetlight big dogs (new Vette aside, as it is THE Big Dog on the street sans supercars).

Not sure where you're getting your info but stock STis have run 12.9s, and also 0-60 in the mid 4s. You're looking at a European spec car that is who knows how old from who knows what source. The Cobra runs 12s stock, the Evo can certainly turn out low 13s, and the Vette is in the same pricerange as the SRT-6 so I don't know how you can just cast that aside. No stock Chrysler SRT-6 is going to be the king of anything, it's a nice fast car, but hardly anything earthshattering.
