I have been looking into a getting a daily driver car. These are my options and wondering what you guys and gals think. I need something cheap, good on gas, and have 4 doors. I probably will be a getting one with a couple miles on it to save money on the depreciation.

I'd pick the 2 hands down. In fact, that is what I am picking for my wife. It's a fantastic little car, and has enough bells and whistles. I think it's safety options are also the best of the 3.
However, they are REALLY newly out. You may not be able to find a used one yet.

If you're looking for a new car, my vote is for the Mazda2.
If you're looking for something used, reliable, cheap, easy to maintain, but tossable, fun, and practical, I suggest looking at some Protege5's.

I need to see some info on reliability of the Mazda 2 and the Hyundai Accent. I know the Yaris is very reliable, it is a Toyota. My Eight has shaken by trust in Mazda as of late (Flame suit on), it could just be the Eight. It's a Rotary Sports car. However my dealer experience as been less than stellar. My previous cars were Toyota and I never have any trouble from them. I need something I can drive 200K plus miles with no problems.
The Mazda 2 does look the best out of the three. Why does Toyota make such boring stuff? I really miss the Supra and MR2!

However, if your Toyota DOES have a problem, you are screwed by a worse post-purchase network than Mazda. Toyota isn't equipped or prepared to handle customer complaints about something going wrong.
They are "indestructable" and anything to the contrary is either your fault or old age that they won't help you with.

Mazda's piston powered cars are pretty reliable from what i've seen. I have a good number of friends with mazda 3's that have dailyed them for years n' never ran into a huge mechanical issue.

That is why I like the Eight! I'll trade some reliability for some soul every once and awhile. The Eight is a great cut of the edge sports car. The Supra was that, along with the MR2. I had an 89 Supra Turbo, it was the most unreliable Toyota I ever owned.
I just need something to drive to work that will not need a ton of TLC.

...Toyota sold their souls when they chose to back the prius and ditch the next gen supra. It's not that they're lacking the ability either...the LFA was proof of their ability to make an amazing sports car when they want to.
