His story just didn't add up, I know all day long you will find deals like that, where somebody died,or somebody went of to war , etc.
I know that because that is how i got my mint 86 turboZ that way, I brought it off a guy whose son was shipped off to Desert storm at the time, son wanted to stay in europe after his campaign was done, needed some cash , so told his pops to let the car go for whatever. Pops was a older gentleman , and didn't know too much about cars , so he sold the Z for cheap. I needed a Daily Driver as i pumped money into my 94 TT Z to make it a highway cruise missle. Wanted my daily driver to be something in the Z family , came across that particular 86 turbo Z with low milage at the time for 2k bucks when those cars were going at the time for 6 or 7k. Made out like a bandit!

Great BS story though. If it had any truth to it, the dealership would have snagged that car right out from under you, so this is about a BS as it can possibly get. Once you threw the Supercharger story with the dealer, you gave the entire thing away. HAHA

The story-killer for me was the dyno sheet.
What Granny do you know, who would comprehend/understand/care w.t.f. a dyno sheet means?
