He already has an 8. I think this was just supposed to be a fun project car. While you could have fun making an 8 into a project car, it's probably more interesting to pick a different car than what you already have. Plus, there's a lot of stuff you can do to 7's for rather cheap compared to the 8.

Dont let up, they may seem scarce but they often sprout up in huge numbers. As you read this I have am being tempted by a 2 TurboII ($3500 $1700--not running), 2 gxl($2500, $500--crashed but running LOL), theres even an FD for sale for $6800 owner says its running "a bit rough". Dont give up hope because I might pick up one of these someday and I need BHR parts.

sorry to hear that Ive been looking for a TurboII hardtop for a cheap project, Ive done 2 90-91 Talons (Eclipse) and want something different. I may get a 90-9x V8 stang for fun and S/C it. Whatever I get it has to be $3000 and forced induction for $1500 or less, which is why I want a TurboII, the plumbing is already there just need piggyback, injectors, test pipe/catback and bigger snail.
