That's pretty much par for the course when manufacturer's aim for minimum lag on a small displacement motor. The 2.0T in the new Audi's and VW's are the same story. Same with the Subaru WRX. The turbo spools quickly but it's not capable of pushing enough air at high RPM. You put a 16G or 20G on this motor and you're putting down between 300whp and 400whp. Hyundai knows the target demographic for this car and knows damn well how much these people are going to modify and tune the platform. This little turbo wouldn't last 5K miles if I'd bought that car. I've have plenty of upgrades waiting in the queue!

LOL, yea at first glance i took that first # as hp without even checking Even so, its STILL ridiculous for a car to dyno the same # it claims to have at the crank. What a pleasant surprise, he he..bastards
