What a great car! GM has improved on the Z-06 drivability and even made it more daily driver friendly, great job GM! Truly you can drive the ZR-1 to work, then to the track then to back home! I need this car in my garage!

Good read. It's shocking to learn the ZR-1 would be more livable on daily basis then the ZO6 - I assumed this Vette would not be very streetable for the average person. Good for GM doing this because at these low volumes, they didn't have to. It's also good to know the ceramic brakes actually work at cold temps as this seems to be a problem with brakes like this, being super at hot track temps but unable to perform as good as conventional brakes on the street when cold. Not surprising that the tester's complained about the seats. Why doesn't GM have one of the big aftermarket racing seat producers make some suitable seats like some of the other manufacturers do for their high performance cars? I mean this is a 600hp car with great handling capabilities. Maybe they still want to cater to the old, fat hardcore Vette fans that will buy this car. Overall the car looks great (wheels are beautiful) but still think the look of the interior (mainly in the color scheme pictured) is kind of ugly - especially the steering wheel which wouldn't look out of place on a Cobalt SS. At least they attempted some stitched leather inserts. But considering the price (if you can get one at that) and performance abilities I guess stuff like this can be overlooked. The pics of the raw chassis are baddass. Can't wait until I can test drive one... in GT5 or some other game that is (hopefully).

Me too... i can't wait to test drive one in GT5.
+1 on the seats... you think they would have hired Recarro to fabricate the seats. Thats one thing I don't like about the Vettes, the seats are made for Fat Asses! Performing high G corners in the Vette is tuff because you slide around in the seat, jamming your left leg into the door to stay planted doesn't help matters.
