Ford Mustang FR500

It's a pen that gets nukes dropped on your ***... you know.
Anyway... rx8wannahave got the point of this thread...
The 8 is one sexy car. Even with that bolt-on performance and potential skidpad... there is just something about the 8 that appeals to me.

anyone can get licensed at their local raceway. but a 500 hp (crank or not) car definately should do better than 4.5 sec 0 - 60. unless they have really crappy tires and a bad driver combo.
fr500 btw was a concept that was never released.the rims they make for the 99 - 04 mustang are real nice though.
http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/musta...-08-06-11.html
and only 180$/rim .. compared to the expensive prices of rims we have to buy.

Remember there are (now) 3 cars...
FR500 - "street racer" car shown at recent SEMA
FR500C - "boy racer" that has been winning races. Comes with the 5.0L "Cammer" engine. 420hp NA. NOT street legal.
FR500GT - "man racer" that has been added to the race lineup.
I dunno... this may not be a "production car", but it may end up as an unadvertised, "street race package" that you can get at the dealerships. Who knows... but if the price is right...

^ uh, no one is talking about the FR500C. We are talking about the FR500. They are two different cars. The FR500C we know is available for registered, licensed racers.... at $125,000. The FR500 is a STREET CAR and hasn't been officially announced as available... although the vast majority of the parts are already available.
