FT-86 redesign rumors UNTRUE. Production version to be shown in 10 days.

Interview with the car's senior designer which basically dispels the rumor about a redesign or alternative design. Also there's rumors that the production FT-86 will make its appearance at Geneva in just 10 days!

the story was too weird for being true......
BTW: Mazda's "hold on" about new rotary sports are also related to this up-coming car...
this car could be a benchmark into its segment

I think many here are waiting to to see if this is the car that can best the 8 at an affordable price. It certainly has the possibility of doing that, if only Toyota give it the engine and handling to do that. I'd rather see Mazda be the one personally, but fat chance of that I guess. This is looking pretty sweet, time will tell.

The features on the existing tC are pretty good for the price point.
Adding 50HP, RWD, double wishbones up front and a multilink rear would definitely attract my attention.

This would be a nice addition to the RX-8 , i couldn't see it replacing it though.
Deal breaker like some of you mention will be engine choices, weight, and tranny.
My gut feeling also see's this car going under the Scion badge, to flashy for Toyotas dull image as of late.

If it has the build quality and road feel of a Celica ... fail. More than likely it will be more of a Genesis Coupe competitor, JDM vs Korean thing. Hyundia is stealing away the Japanese lunch these days, sales wise.
