Future RX-7???? (Japanese translator help needed)
I found this article in an auto magazine from my brother. It looks like a concept RX-7 for 2007 or 2008, but I can't read a word of Japanese. Can anyone translate what this article is saying? Thanks!
Scott
I took down the picture to avoid any copyright infringements...If anyone can convince me that it's legal (safe) to post a page from Japanese magazines, then I'll put it back up.

Ah... looks the one from "My Car" or another that I've seen.
The article talks about the electrical assisted turbo and the 7 being due in about 2007-2008. Sorry i can't much more details, but I can't read the text (a bit too small for my bad eyes).

Good God, yes please! If Mazda is reading this: you should build the car in the picture. I will buy one and keep it forever. Pretty please.
I confess to having concerns with reliability and experimental turbo set-ups, but something that gorgeous would be worth the risk.

Rumor, I repeat RUMOR, has it that Honda is also going to build a new 2 door coupe with front engine V6 V-Tech, rear drive, rear transaxle in Acura skin to go up head to head against BMW. They have a new factory in Japan, building the latest version S2000, will build the new NSX, due in late '05 - early '06, and this new coupe. It should be the awaited replacement CL.
I will ask my tomodachi at factory what the car above is.
He has also responded that he has passed my request that a factory representative join this forum to the proper people at Mazda Company - Japan.
The rumor also has it that both the new Mazda 6 speed auto and Honda's gearbox for the new coupe will be true semi-autos, similar to true F1 technology push button shifting. After owning an Acura TypeS typtronic 5 spd auto, I can't wait. I have been told that it will be a semi-auto with a torque converter and a clutch. Upon shifting, the clutch will disengage back to the converter, the box will shift and the clutch will re-engage in hundreths of a second. The clutch will engage at about 1500 rpm after taking off from stop. It will have three operation settings - automatic shifting - economy mode, automatic shifting - performance mode, full manual shifting with steering wheel actuation.
TOO COOL!!!!
I was also told to not paint my 6 spd or do too many mods as they have moved up release of the new transmission and I don't want to spoil trade in value.........He knows me.............

I'm getting sick and tired of people complaining, "I want a new RX-7!" It is getting pretty old. Why does Mazda not have an RX-7? This one's easy. It's called the RX-8. You know the RX-8. It's been out for about a year. Perhaps you've heard of it? Seriously, this notion of a new RX-7 is not going to happen, at least not any time soon. If you want the newest RX-7, feel free to import a 2002 Spirit-R
. Sure, it'll cost you an arm and a leg, but hey, it's the most recent RX-7 out right now. Can't you people just accept the RX-8? You act like the RX-7 has been dead for 1000 years. It's like the Nissan guys waiting for the R35 to come out. Hold your horses people. If you want to complain about the RX-7 here's a link:

Yep, that was it. But the date of the magazine was May 04, I believe. I don't have the magazine with me now to check the cover. I guess it was just a reused image. Here it is again:

nothing much at all. the new 7 would have to have well over 300 hp to be marketable at its certain price above the RX-8 if it were to come back.
these are all old, and no none of them look remotely like an RX-7, meaning that there will not be an RX-7 made to look anythign like this.
