This story happens everyday. I work at a credit analyst for an in house automobile financing company. You should here the nonsense that goes on at a dealership.
First of all... he could of got less than 5.9%. The dealer is marking up that rate to make his profit.
Second, The rate was not going to go up on monday. Dealers never know of a rate change until the moment it happens.
Third, it is not hard at all to pull canadian credit... i do it everyday.
Fourth, this guy is a duesche and should have power negotiated his way down, or left. He had a car and was not in NEED of a new one.
Lame...

Most car salesmen will use anything at their disposal to get you to sign. It sounds as thought he was fully aware of these sales tactics before he arrived there. He really has no one to blame but himself.

5th, when he should not have given up his drivers liscense just to get a test drive. thats when they run unauthorized credit check on your *** and make your credit rating go down.
6th, he should have test drove it for more than 3 minutes, its his right since hes the buyer and its his money.
7th, when he finds out its not the right car for him, he WENT BACK to that dearlership from hell. He could have sold his G35 him self and not get lowballed again on the interest rate and price. And taken a much smaller loss than $8k.
WHo in their right mind get low balled by someone once and goes back and get low balled again!
8th, he could have used a pillow or something to temporarily help support his back instead of keep letting the seat hurt him at the risk of looking dumb and break his back! :p
None the less, its such a sad story, i still feel bad for him. poor honest canadian guy tries to come live in the US and gets dicked all over the place.
I have no problem with my G35 seating position btw, its designed to hold a driver in place during manuvers, i can see how it can feel uncomfortable for someone who has a really wide physic.

He isn't very smart it seems, and it certianly could have been his 200+ lbs that was a large part in snapping his back. In the end, I thought it was $6000 in the hole for the 330, but even when he found out he would go more into more debt than that to renegotiate with the Infiniti dealer he wanted to. He could have had a brand new BMW for less debt than getting his used R32.

Makes you wanna go postal against people that just take advantage of guys like this. People are supposed to go to Infinitti because of their quality and instead get pushed around like this. Seems like if this happened to anyone else in the world the dealer would have had another thing coming...

That absolutely sucks! I wonder if he talked to any lawyers!
This story kinda makes me happy that I didn't like something about the feel of the G35 when I test drove it! I didn't feel the discomfort in my back but the car felt heavy and if a car doesn't have good back support I always feel it at some point!

Hello anyone home? Their car salesmen their suppose to take advantage of you. He even admitted he had made several mistakes. The salesman saw a weakness in him and exploited it and in the end he got the deal. We all have dealt with pushy salespeople, some survive it some don't :D

Yeah it is mostly the guys fault, though he says his condition did play a major part in that, but maybe he should have taken his GF with him if he wasn't able to last through the salesman's weardown process.
Nonetheless the dealership are scum.
Hope they don't use the same seats in the M, cause I'm thinking of getting an M45 next month, oh well we'll see when I go test it out :p So far I have only read glowing reviews about the M from owners and magazines.

its not a matter of height, its how wide you are. those seats are suppose to hold you still during cornering. So its shapped a certain way, not unlike recaro or any sport seats. If you are really fat, or just really wide. Then you will definetly feel uncomfortable because your back is too wide to fit into the groove. Im 5'8 average build, 170 pounds, it fits me perfectly and comfortably. More so than my dads mazda millinia and my old camery. But those seasts are definetly not for fat people. :p.
M45 seats are wider and flatter, they arnt sporty seats like G35coupes. But thats what test drive is for :p, test drive it long and good, so you dont end up like him. No can is made to please everyone. thats why testdrive is so important

the guy should just totaled the car through the dealership.. take out 4-5 car or drive right through the showroom, "the gas pedal got stuck" or some ****. Car insurance would picked up the tab for his back, and the car and the damage and he'd gotten even.

well stated!!....that was the biggest problem....he let them bully him into buying when he didn't want to. How much do you want to bet that his girlfriend wears the pants around his place. I feel sorry for the guy but man...you let a car salesman push you around. :D
