so 10yrs. is short huh?
A lot of cars have longer runs, but the redesign... that's the reason it's short in the grand scheme of things. The rx-7 ran from 78-2002.

And it still is sharp car after 10 years in production. It probably owes to the simple and not overly trendy styling of the car. The 8 and the S2000 were similar in that they ultimately only appealed to a select audience.

It is too bad that Honda/Acura don't really have anything fun to replace it with. Honda/Acura cars have been hit with the ugly stick lately.

Since it was out so long, it makes a great car to pick up used though.

Yeah, I agree. It's a very impressive accomplishment that the S lasted this long without very much change, and the car was ahead of it's time in beginning.

It is a simple style, and really doesn't carry that trend, especially with the likes of the more stand out style of cars like the Solstice and Sky. It's just not a head turner like it used to be.

As for used pick up. They are extremely reliable and durable long term with little problems, like any honda, and higher mileage models can be purchased for 7-$8000, so expect to see The S2000 all customised, decked out, and being driven by youth. Now that bothers me, but with the drop in value, my guess is, those high mileage 00-01 models are gonna start surfacing like Civics. Trying not to think about it. hehe
