Gotta sell my baby
Basically, I got an RX-8 about 4 months ago and have been loving it. Sadly I have to pay off my student loans (which defaulted) so my credit dropped quite a bit. So I have to sell my car. My question is what are some good cheaper cars that are both fast and easy to modify. Just because I need to downgrade doesn't mean I need to drive a piece of **** . I have been looking at mustangs but they are such money pits...any suggestions?
Thanks mates

Its more of a monthly payment kind of thing. Right now im paying over 350/month which is horrible. I need to get my credit back up but in the mean time I dont want to make these payments.
Id like something that is easy to modify when I get some more cash though

DONT do this...you shouldn't be working just so you can pay off this car. There are more important things in life. Basically if you get that 2nd/3rd job, you won't even have a life to enjoy this car. Some people's priorities are messed up.

2nd gen. MR2 Turbo, 02-03 WRX, LS1 Z28 or Trans AM, newer model 2nd gen. DSM, or maybe a "99+ Mustang. If I were in your position I'd probably be driving a WS6 Trans Am with some suspension mods, and engine mods of course I'd have to grow a sweet mullet to match my car though.

Anyways back on topic, i do agree with what was said earlier about just working to pay off your car. It is sad that you have to let it go, but trust me think positive, better things are yet to come for you bro!

1935 lbs. FTW!
Miata, I have one for a daily driver and it's a great car. You can pick up a clean decent one for 3000-3500. Gas is cheap 28mpg city, 30+ highway. Insurance is cheap, maintenance is cheap. Lots of fun, lots of cars to get spare parts from.
