We're only 1 week away from the release of Gran Turismo 7 so figured I'd start a thread to see if there's any other gamers out there.
For those of you interested, here's a the trailer which features a prototype all of you should be familiar with.
I was first introduced to this game with Gran Turismo 3 and despite me being a terrible gamer, I really enjoyed the difficult tracks and car customizations. Looking forward to taking the RX-VISION out for a drive and also getting behind the iconic Castrol Oil Supra once again.
Yup, review embargo got lifted early this morning so it's good to see reviews being posted.
So far the ratings are looking good and fortunately it seems GT7 stays true to its root and really is about being a driving simulator.
No damage: that's been a point of contention for some time now. I thought they might finally introduce it but I guess not. Not sure why they don't, the game as plenty of AI capabilities to account for vehicle damage but I guess they just don't want to see us going all demolition derby out there.
I've been hearing all about this game. Really curious what you guys think of it. It's been a very long time since I've played any game. I think the last console I really 'played on' was a PS3 and whatever GT game was associated with it at the time.

I like it. Game looks really good, it's a lot of fun online with friends especially when your brakes 'fail' and you take jedi out mid hairpin.
My only gripes, are the lack of vehicle damage and lack of a button for/ability to use a clutch.
Is that a real thing these days??? Crazy idea to me that video games today can allow for virtual sim clutch actuation / operation.
I'm seriously considering getting a console just to hang out and play with you guys. See what this is all about. I was very interested in the previous Grand Turismo game way back when.

With controllers the clutch is more of an on and off switch since it uses the shoulder buttons
I'm on the ps5, but really the only thing you would notice is the longer load times, slightly less shinny cars and maybe a few less shrubberies around the track.
being a gamer these reviews are BS they hate sony I wouldn't go off their reviews especially IGN and metacritic watch youtubers and come to your own conclusions.
Add me garlic sauce gun-point
building a rig for GT7 now rig is assembled just putting aside money for the steering wheel pedals etc.
Loved GT when I was younger. Picked this up on my PS5 along with a G29 wheel. The brake pedal just felt really stiff without relation to actual brake pressure. Still a decent game all things considered and with the right peripherals
I've been playing Gran Turismo 7 with my custom sim rig, I built out of PVC. Love it but I need some friends to play against.
Let me know your PS handles so we can be friends.
My PS5 is still boxed up but hoping to be back online (for the first time in months) in the next few weeks.
P.S. Sonic will cheat and ram your car off the road to win a race.
ask me how I know.
