Great Old Saabs
I just found out about this car today and I love it. The Sonett 2 was junk, but the 3 was nice. Both looked great. I wish Saab still made cars that looked like this.

Man, I just found out that these things were really slow. I wasn't expecting too much, but the more powerfull Sonett 3 only made 85hp.
What's interesting is that the car is fwd and came with a roll cage as standard equipment.

LOL!
I learned to drive in a '67 Saab 96. It was an interesting experience to have to initially pour your gas in a 5-gallon can, add the oil, then shake that heavy MF and then have to pour it in the tank!
It had a three cylinder, 2-cycle engine with a four on the column! Hell that brings back some fond memories!

I remember picking my girlfriend up at Stoneybrook University (Long Island, N .Y.) in my (dad's) Saab. The floor being perfectly flat and the winding road going down hill leading away from the campus made for a harrowing adventure that night.
Well Michelle had her books on the floor to my right. As the car was easing left then right her school books slid under the pedals and I had no contol over the gas/brake or clutch! We wound up accelerating down this hill that ende at an intersection. Holy ****! We crossed both lanes of traffic and wound up going backwards up the hill on the other side of the intersection. Thank god there was ZERO traffic that night.
All I remember as the car did its third 360 was both her and her girlfriend screaming at the top of their lungs!
