2005 Subaru Outback 2.5XT. This is my crappy weather car so I can leave my 8 in the garage. It's a turbocharged 4 pumping out about 250 HP. The car is reasonably fast and handles quite well for a wagon/suv. I still much prefer to drive my 8, but when traffic is bad on the DC beltway the button shift automatic on the Subaru sure saves my clutch leg.

i'm almost embarrass to admit it, but my daily driver is a v6 2000 mustang with 150,000 miles. i know, i know, it'll take sometime to shake it, its like waking up to a fat chick after a night of heavy drinking , you'll never live it down.

edit: it is a 5 speed if that counts

The blue RX-8 is for church
The red 1993 323 is for the farm - it can hold 12 bags of trash, or 10 fruit trees in pots (windows have to be open for the limbs), or two alfalfa bales and 3 sacks of feed. Still gets great milage!
The white Tarus belongs to Richard - hopes he comes by to pump the tires back up
The bulldozer, backhoe, and dump truck all belong to Marc - we are keeping them for him until he gets out of jail for vandalizing a Cadillac - Marc is a contractor his latest X wife emptied his account so he had to ask people who owed him to pay up - Well this one guy owed him for about 18 K of cement work - he refused to pay so Marc took him to court - the judge said pay half - the guy still refused - Marc felt abandoned by the law and he didn't know about attaching wages so he said "That man owes me, He treated me like the N word, so I will turn him into one! Marc used to work at a carbon black factory and he mixed up this slurry and painted everything he was owed for black. Carbon black is pretty hard to wash off - tends to be attracted to skin oils. So the dead beat, who was an old millionaire, got darker and darker - he was the one who messed up his own Cad, but he took Marc to court and Marc got jailed. I told him he could park them back in the canyon if he would grade the road when he got out...

Quote: sounds like a third world country

We live a mile and a half up a dirt road - and it is Federal, and was once a stage line road!

But, if we were our own country, we would be the third largest wine producing country in the world!

We have an old Spainish Mission, a stage stop that was owned by Jesse James Uncle, a Castle built by the most powerful Newspaper man in the world (They call this area Castle Country)

Three Ghost towns - one of which is the Earth Quake Captial of the U.S.

Beaches that are uncrowded, a 4th of July where the fire department sells fireworks that you can set off in the park

A vey low crime rate and when crime is committed it tends to be creative

68 wineries with tasting rooms

Long curving roads perfect for RX-8

and an almost empty freeway where 85 miles per hour is legal.

The sign as you come into town reads : Damn Near Heaven

What have you got?

well the wife drives a 02 s2k. but she loves driving the rx8 more, due to room. And i also begged her to take s2k over 350z. whixh didnt take alot to do. when she drove both cars, she realized that s2k handles better then 350z for her tase wise. and she loved our 97 miata.

2005 Legacy GT Limited Wagon w/5 speed & Vishnu ecu flash.

It is making about 300hp/300# torque to the shaft. Probably doing mid/low 13s, gets better mileage than the 8, and is really comfortable on long trips.

The 8 is my daily driver... my REAL baby is a 1969 Cheverolet Impala 327 Convertable, Black on Black, Numbers matching, under 50k original miles. I put MAYBE 200 miles per year on that car.

Im selling it, BTW... bout time its found a new owner. Dont have the space for it at my next place of residence unfortunatly.

1998 Mitsubishi Diamante 2.5 V6 with 130,000 km on it, 5-speed auto with tiptronic. Nice, quite and great to drive on the highways. Regular mile eater! One of the most quite and comfy cars around.

2001 Toyota Corolla 1.3 company car. Guaranteed to start every time and give you 40 mpg. Just and A to B car. The exact opposite to the RX8: Slow, economical, reliable (turn it on and turn it off after 5 seconds without any worries of flooding), boring to drive and handles like crap!
