I dunno. It looks like Colt from the back (urgh), sort of a mustang on the side (not the good ones either) and the front...um, what the heck happened there? I liked the skyline and always wondered why they didn't make ones for us Canucks, and now I see this. It's like Mitsubhshi Eclipse...what were they thinking, er, again?

Maybe I've just got RX-8s on my mind, but doesn't this look in some views (esp front side ones) for all the world like a two-seater 8 w/mods all over? Trouble is it's way to busy and chunked up...nevertheless interesting esp. if it had say 400RWH

 

you know what Spin9k, I think I got an rx8 brain too. The front end is very reminiscent of the 8. Even down to the fender and air vents. Some of the lines remind me of the 8 as well. Still a nice looking car but I prefer the older versions where they were more boxy and angry looking.

 

Guaranteed to be slow if they keep the silver color......:D

Love the taillights tho....and yes the front fender does have a RX8 it to it....

 

There was already a thread about this in General Automotive yesterday. But anyways, the people who think this looks anything like an 8, you have serious issues.

Have to agree. I don't like it too much. Intersting but it lost its sexy shape for something a bit too riced up for my taste, especially the rear spoiler. Looks like Cadillac had a say in its design a bit.

if they bring that here...it would severely conflict with the 350Z... esp at 400RWP.. i just hope they dont rebadge it and call it the new infiniti g35!..

On the otherhand, my guess is its going to too expensive to conflict with the 350..and only the wealthy 16yr old asian kids will be able to afford it

 

LOL, why do people think that every car released looks like the RX-8 now? Anyway, I hear that the new Skyline will be around $80,000 and not coming to US shores. I heard this on the Internet so it is probably fake but who knows?

It's going to be expensive, but $80K is still pure speculation. However, everything I've read indicates it WILL be coming to the US. Which is great, we finally get more of Japan's forbidden fruit. First the Lan Evo, now the GT-R.

The roof line bugs me a little, but I really just hate the front end treatment, the rest is pretty nice. If they would use body color instead of black (carbon?) on the front bumper it would look much better. The Darth Vader nose and Alice Cooper headlights just aren't my thing. The solution could be to just pick black as ones color choice, then all would be good.

From what I have read the front end is still up in the air while the rear and profile are near production look.

Not really, though I guess I'd need to see more angles. I think that anyone could find resemblences between any two cars and argue that they have simliar/stolen features from each other. I think that is silly. I'm not knocking you man, because you didn't say ZOMGripoff!!!!1111one or anything like that.

 

I don't think the features are stolen, but I do see similarities in their lines.
