Try and get one soon, a HDTV is a must for this game, not to mention many games for the PS3!!!!

I was on the fence about getting Prologue, not really wanting to pay $40 for a semi-game (but more than a demo), but then I read that GT5 won't be out until 2009, and I can't wait that long.
Then I saw it listed at new egg for $37, plus free shipping-

that did it for me.

part of me is really hoping that when the full version comes out PD will give the people who got the prologue some credit towards the full version. don't know if that will happen or not but that sure would be nice. either way, i'm still getting both.

Same here , getting both.
I wish people would stop saying its a 40 dollar demo, the game which has been already previewed by many credible game sites have already raved about this game . Compare GT5 Prolouge to Motorstorm , Motorstorm has 8 tracks compared to GT5 prolouges 6 track, both can be driven in reverse mode, but here is where the diffrence shines. 60+ cars compared to 40+/- vehicles in Motorstorm, split screen racing for two player, no split screen in Motorstorm, Over 20 songs for Gt5 , only 12 songs for Motorstorm. And the kicker,GT5 track will have different layouts per track, for example the Daytona track, you can race is in the standard oval config , or you can race the infield and 3/4 of the oval like the legendary race of the Rolex 24. No different scenarios in Motorstorm. Also 16 online racing compared to 12 online racing. Also Gt5 has the option of tuning plus tuned vehicles of some of cars, example Z-06 , C6R test car. No tuned vehicles in motorstorm or tuning options. I love motorstorm as the next racing nut, as a full game it is sorely lack what a small part of the pie , GT5 prolouge offers.
So for 40 bucks your getting a piece of the full game, for a small piece it is still alot of game compared to full games that are out , but don't offer the rich gaming experience of GT racing.

Without being 100% sure, the screens above are the equivelent of "photo mode" or something similar. But yes, an HDTV will help big time... as the game runs in 1080p @ 60fps while racing, and then at 30fps for replays.

As far as buying Prologue, I'll definitely play it, but can't buy it due to a lack of a PS3 (otherwise I would buy it). One thing that really disappointed me about the demo however, was the driving feel. The cars stayed very stable in corners and would corner well enough, but once you slowed down, you realized why. Low speed maneuvering was excessively limited - It felt like hitting your wheel lock at about 90 degrees in a real car. Once you noticed this, you could NOT ignore it and it drove me nuts. It felt like turning a real life wheel 90 degrees. Needless to say, turning around required a rather huge arc, or strategic use of the e-brake. I REALLY hope this is fixed, because otherwise it was an amazing game.

Oh man... I can't wait :D I picked up a PS3 last week, and pre-ordered the game today.
I'm tempted to get the Logitech G25 as well to play with a 6 speed shifter + clutch, but my bank account is already pissed off enough as it is lol

I know with the G25 it will: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh2_kF_2l2U

I have the G25 with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and I can assure you the clutch pedal is not necessary. You can still use it, but it makes no difference whether you do or not. Sorry to burst any bubbles you guys might have had.

I believe it supports the Logitech G25 racing wheel, which does indeed have a clutch and 6-speed transmission. I've never used it so not sure how good it is...

I found $199 at Swiftgamers.com http://www.swiftgamers.com/product-p/963416-0403.htm This is where I got mine. Excellent service. Not sure if it services to the US though.
