All it says is that they already have a brilliant rear engine car that people love and that they are adding diversity to their line by doing other layouts.

isn't the reason rear engine was changed to front engine due to like safety and room issues?

The Cayman, if it wasn't detuned, would be faster than the 911. From a pure racecar perspective, a mid-engined configuration is best. Nonetheless, saying the rear engined layout is a dead end is about like saying the front engined layout is a dead end. Different layouts have different pros and cons and none is completely superior to another.

I buy this reasoning, but saying that rear engine layout is a dead end feels extreme to me. 911's continue to disprove the dead end assertion every year.

GTR is cheap (for the car category), fast, and handles well.

However the problem is style and image. A Porsche attracts women and you look good getting out of it with a suit on. The down side to that is Porsche will make you pay through the nose for that, unless you buy a used one. Which you should consider doing anyway, as Porsche keep the same look to them and change slowly.

Z06, is below a Porshe. I kind of think its close between the GTR and Z06 in terms of style, looks, and image. Just depends on who you ask.

The GTR is a big motherf*cker. You have to see one in person and in comparison to an RX-8 to feel the size difference. It also has a kind of no frills tough guy vibe to it. It is not class and it is not sexy. It is more tough *** racer. Unfortunately, I don't see Nissan changing this design concept either, and that is a shame. They are maintaining its Skyline heritage, which also was not classy and not sexy, but tough racer.

wat really attracts women is stability, a porsche just shows that u got cash, i am sure if u got a GTR and its got another 30g put into it, or u do got cash, it'd attract the same thing, GTR is a no compromise performance machine. anyone, anytime, anywhere.

its pretty sad if you need to use a car to attract women in the first place
