handmade Countach in a basement?
Sorry if this is a repost, this is the first I've heard of this and I usually don't frequent Jalopnik that much anyway.

I truly admire such a project, this thing is absolutely amazing.

Wait a second, if he built it in his basement, then how is he going to get it out of his house?
I could imagine how pissed he would be "dammit, 10 years and now I have to take it all apart and reassemble it in the garage!!! "
Edit: lol, after looking at all the pictures I realized how he got it out, thats awesome! "Honey, I need to blow out the side of our foundation for my lambo"

This guy is obviously so clever I'm sure he promised his wife he'd extend the foundation and add a room above "just as soon as I finish the Lambo."

Well I guess, but he did actually painstakingly use a real one and the exact dimensions to build off of one, all the kit car ones I've seen are always "off" due to whatever chassis they're designed to fit, this guy hand fabbed his own chassis and body based off the real deal, instead of just cheesing it with a fiberglass kit slapped on a Fiero for example. I'd call it more of a Countach than a kit car myself, but whatever, it's just semantecs (tics?) anyway.
edit: wonder if he'd build me a Bugatti!?

he built it in his basement so he could work on it through the winter, at the time he did not have the cash flow to winterize his garage. I believe it was somewhere like Wisconsin or something, pretty cold up there in the winter time and the winters are pretty long. It would have taken him 20 years if he didn't do it in the basement.

It's actually a Ferrari, I have the video clip, I'd have to say this is more impressive just because it's actually drivable, but the model Ferrari is pretty nutso too considering how small all the pieces are and how much work it must have been to scale down everything correctly etc. Sorry for the crappy quality, but here is the Ferrari you mentioned:
