Hansa 23R / Mazda MX-5
Ok, I searched but didn't find anything on this so....

Scroll down a little bit and this company is converting the mx-5 to renesis power.
And now I will go back into my hole to avoid the flak of a repost.

Yeah, sweet ride..nice..
I recall Mazda saying that you can't fit a RENESIS in the NC MX-5..
Its a lot of money to convert..

I agree. With the transmission gear ratios corrected to match the different power curve and suspension & chassis tuned to match the altered weight profile, it would be a blast to drive. Otherwise, if it's just an engine transplant, it's another hackjob.

幹他媽!
the mx-5 is fun, but at high rpms the engine sounds like a lawn mower. it'd be exciting to see a renesis in there instead. love the sweet sound of the rotary.

Looks awesome. Great idea but one could supercharge or turbo a miata for a more economic hp increase and have $s left over.
FYI. A pic under the hood can be seen in the intial link.
A rotary miata isn't really a new idea...

rather a Renesis Miata is an evolution of an old idea.
Another good miata engine swap thread from the other rotary forum...
