Pkskull i dont know what your price limit is but an Audi S5 4.2 in black screams aggressive and class all at the same time. The 370z is nice but if I were to go coupe wise in that car class. I would much rather get the S5 and it also has AWD so its best of both worlds.

How would a car like this do on a track or auto x course. I like Audi's but they look fast in the strait, and slow in the curve. I want a car thats good all around, no one trick ponies need apply.

To be honest that's something I'm not sure about as its way beyond my price range at this time in my life. But I just love the looks of this car, I'll see what I can dig up. Maybe find a motor trend article for you.

I'm sorry but the STI is about as sexy as my old 79 VW Rabbit L was. To be honest I think both the STI and Z look like a**. I guess it's why most cars these days don't even start to turn my head. But that is my opinion.
Go with what feels best to you when driving down your favorite road (in any weather). If you don't enjoy how it feels when behind the wheel, looks will never matter.

It's a big car and would eat through tires on your first day. I went to one of Audi's driving events when the S5 first came out and got to drive it on a road course. It's good for a big car, but it's no sports car. In 'real' life it would probably be fine.

Good to know, and clearly not what I'm looking for. Thanks for the advice.

Have you actually driven the Series II RX-8 STICK with the higher diff ratio, I know it does not add to power, but it is quicker off the mark.
You want power...pitty,,,,at my age it does not bother me at all, not many other cars pass me, my new 8 is plenty fast enough for me, yes you have to wind it up, but you always have to to any rotary...even turbo-ed.
We have speed cameras every 2 miles here...well almost... our state government is DRUNK on catching anyone over the speed limit.

You know, ..........if you whack a powerful Boxer engine in a mini-bus, it's still a mini-bus. From a car that is based on evolution, it sure hit the ugly door on the way out.
The 370Z however is a modern classic sports car; rear wheel drive, powerful, torquey, stylish, quality interior. In fact the more I write, the more I can't believe it's even being compared.

The bottom line is, I want something that looks a little more aggressive. The Zed certainly fits this role, but as I said a few posts earlier, Nissian is doing their best to gouge you on this car. Until prices and financing get better I'll be keeping the STi.
The dealership tried to make me finance the car over 84 months, for what would have totaled over 50,000 dollars. I laughed at them, and walked right the heck out. Never before, had a dealership tried to screw me so badly. I was shocked -- they must have thought I was an idiot or something.

Performance wise the STi is the better car, no doubt about it. In the few areas where the Z is a better car, a few modifications would easily bridge that gap. That being said, I don't live at the racetrack, and I can't stand the STi's looks.
