So are there precautions one can take to minimize flood damage? Like remove the battery, seal up intake and exhaust?

I feel like modern cars are pretty water-tight around the doors, does water actually get in, if it's not up to the windows?

Most water up here is solid, but spring river swells are getting pretty rough. Never know.
