sell the jag, pre-2001 jags have nicksel or what ever you call it that coats the cylinder walls, this is going to wear down fast, even more now that you upped your power. this car is going to lose compression due to it be pushed futher then what it is intended to do. if you really want a jag, you have to buy 2001 and later because that is when they put steal liners in the engine because of all the issues with the original coating wearing off and causing low compression.
i had a 99kjr, damn nice car, but lost compression and thats how i found everything out about the changes in the motors.
1998 to 2002 kxr coupe is slower then the 1998-2002 kjr sedan believe it or not.
and for the new 4dr jag (the one with the dial gear selector for the tranny), im sorry but it has a chrslyer front end and looks like a camary in person. the car does not carry on with jags theme. the xj/xk series will always be the choice of the true jag enthusiest as these cars still carry the styling cues of the original.

We bought the 2000 XKR in 2001, right after the 01' model came out. At that point it was nearly impossible for anyone to know the coating would wear down. I've had the car for 55,000 miles, and it has been maintained well--- no problems worth mentioning yet.
Yes, the XJ and XK series is the mainstay of Jaguar, but the XF is different. It's a an exotic turn for the different, yet holds the majesty of being a Jaguar still-- I like it. I have seen the car in person--- and test drove the R model, and it was fantastic.
