Hyundai Customers say NO 2Sirius due2 Stern's Broadcast
This is asinine...I can't believe they are even offering Sat radio in a Hyundai in the first place...you'd think they would be working on improving the safety features instead.
Who knew Hyundai owners were such prudes!
"A surprising number of Hyundai customers said they didn't want Sirius Satellite Radio installed in their vehicles because they objected to Howard Stern, according to an auto news Web site."

It seems that a lot of people in America don't have an "off" button on their radio or TV, and that number seems to be spreading. Strange people.
Of course, I'll bet a LOT more people are going to get Sirius on account of Stern, which is the bet Sirius made when they signed him in the first place. I personally don't care for Stern (although I love Imus when I lived in New York), but I've never had any trouble avoiding his station.

I doubt they are on the Hyundai board all upset because you feel threatened by their radio choices.

I love Howard Stern personally. And he has always said that demographics wise, he has one of the wealthiest audiences in radio. Therefore, I doubt people buying Hyundai's were really in his target demographic anyway. They probably declined it because they couldn't afford the monthly fee. :D

Think its funny that they would say no to sirius because of howard. Whatever floats their boat. I guess they didnt know about the other hundreds of channels their are.

One of these days, the purveyors of satellite radio will realize that, in order to really get people to try their product, they will need to supply the receiver and the antenna in new cars, and give the purchaser a 90-day free trial period. I am intrigued by the ability to be able to listen to the same station wherever I am, and not be hounded by stupid advertisments all the time, but I'm not really interested in spending a bunch of money buying the receiver and antenna, trying it out, and perhaps not liking it because there simply aren't enough stations I like to make it worth it.
If they really believe in their product, the "razor blade" model should work for them.

There's a better reason than stern to not like sirius, it sucks, just like all other radio. Just another worthless product that can be given to dad on fathers day to go with all the ties and shavers.
