WOW Those are some ballsy crooks! I wonder if he had wheel locks (only skimmed over it)...Reminds me of the kind of stuff that would happen here in my parking lot. (Which is patrolled HEAVILY by university police for our "safety", but they only ever seem to catch underage drinking...weird.) I really don't know what I'd do if something like that happened...You'd just be stuck with no wheels and a whole lot of rage...

i think he did have wheel locks. but either way, there are special sockets to take off those wheel locks. i'm just surprised at how fast and quiet those crooks were inside a parking garage.
i read this article somewhere about the car theft rate in some country in africa. they have the craziest means of protection. for example, the best one i can remember is this sys. where two long steel blades are installed underneath the sides of the car. when the car senses a theft, the huge blades come swinging out from underneath the car breaking the crook's ankles. kind of like a gigantic switch blade. there were a bunch of them, but apparently these kind of theft deterrent sys. over there arent' illegal.

Oh yeah, those homebrew anti-theft things are crazy! I was telling my friend about those the other day, actually. If I'm not mistaken, I think they're loaded with garage door springs, which are nothing to mess around with...If there wasn't a chance of hitting someone who was just walking by, I'd be all for them being legal in America too. Those bastards deserve what's coming to them!

Probably South Africa. A fellow there also developed an anti-carjacking flame thrower apparatus that would tourch any body standing next to the car... but the govt. soon deemed it an illegal modification.

omg man.... how the frick is it a secured underground parking lot then? it must be either the people who lives in that apartment or someone related to someone that lives in that apartment...
btw... how r they gonna lift up the car and put wheels on it again? and lying it there like that... wouldn't that damage the rotors?
