White with gold wheels would be exactly what I'd want. I'm indifferent to the wing, they look a little funny without it to me now. Originally when they came out I didn't care for the wing and intended to do a trunk swap should I ever get one. But now I just look at them as balancing out the huge hoodscoop.

Hey Ike...check this out...
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...3&aff=national
That car is being sold at the Mitsu dealership I'm getting my Evo from. I'm good friends with the fleet manager/internet sales guy. Look at the mods on the STi. It's been built to handle much better than stock...pink springs, stiffer sway bar, etc. Thing is the owner traded it in on an '05 Evo RS. Furthermore, the dealership is in absolutely no hurry to sell it because they have been letting people test drive both the Evo and STi in succession to make up their minds. He said a lot of guys will come in, take a spin in one of their used Evos (they don't allow test drives on new models) and then go down the street to the Subaru dealership. Now they have everything in one place. Apparently they've sold more than a half dozen Evos in the 3 weeks it's been there.

Well, do they make different tails for it? But, that is off topic...I think you have the "buy a new/ish" car sickness...and it's VERY hard to get over that...lol

So I just called about the STi and told the guy my situation. I mentioned that I was driving some Evos on Sat. and he said I should stop in later that day and he'd be interested in hearing what I thought about the Evo. Then he went on about how much he liked the Evo as well and told me it would be a tough choice. The two times I've stopped to check out Evos the guys were full of crap/misinformation and did nothing but make underhanded remarks about WRXs and STis.
Stuff like that just makes me want to not own a Mitsubishi. Every person I've ever dealt with at a Subaru dealership (3 of them) has made me happy I own a Subaru. Every time I've been to a Mitsubishi dealership I've had to like the car despite the jackasses I have to deal with. Looking at the Mitsubishi dealership on my desk I just noticed they are a Mitsubish, Kia, Oldsmobile dealer, that's quite the lineup! No wonder they don't exactly have the best salespeople in town...

Hahahaha, you guys won't believe this. My dealership just called me to remind me of a recall on my car and also to let me know that they were looking for used WRXs. He then invited me to come in and testdrive a new Legacy GT or STi. I haven't had any contact with my dealer in the last couple months and there is no way they could know I was pondering a trade, just a very freaky coincidence. I need to go drive my car and remember how much I like it pronto before I make an impulse decsion. Off for a drive, catch you guys later :D

Good call with the White on Gold. That would be my choice too. The rims will get dirty from brakedust and be tough to clean but that package is the best looking to me after the car has been washed.
If you have any thoughts of replacing the STi trunk w/a WRX trunk make sure the color of the STi is offered on the WRX. I believe white is, but the pewter color they released for the '05 model is specific to the STi.

Decided against the Evo for now, going to be in the area today of the white STi I posted and am going to stop in to see it. Most likely I'll wait a year and get an 05 as the 06 STis are coming out, or wait for the Impreza redesign and see if it looks better than the concept drawings.
