I need a new CAR
I spoke to a lawyer and i was informed that my car is a Lemon, so i going to start the process. They informed me that they were going to give back my down payment and monthly payments that i paid so far. so now i going to need a new car.
i was thinking of getting an FD, or maybe another RX8
EVOS AND STI and 350Z are not my cup of tea but they are fast.
anyone have any other suggestions on any cars for about 30k that fun to drive?
Thanks for your input.

I have an FD, but remember they are 10-12 years old and high maintenance. part are a fortune and they brake easy.
Personally if my rx8 was a lemon I'd get another. A 350Z is too fat and boring. the evo and sti are econobox rockets.
The S2000 is the only other car other than the rx-8 that i'd consider (new cars, the FD is amazing if you can deal with the above issues)..
The s2000 is really an amazing car.

have to dissagree and then agree. dont think the z is fat the weight is almost the same as the 8. i am comparing the enth. z to the sport 8. which is what i drove. the z is a great car. but rides to firm for my tastes. no back seat. many more problems in first yeat compared to the 8.
s 2000 extra yummy el grande. got to drive one on road i drove street racing in high school...... back then it was not straight line it was point to point. for time.
the s2000 is great. i drove it last after a bmw z-3 and an audi tt 4wd turbo.
the s2000 won hands down. it just feels conected.
rx-8 same feeling, though i am just exploring the edge right now.
prices i got rx-8 28.5 otd. s2000 32.5 before ttl. my guess would be 35k otd.
for me i noticed that i stopped pulling the top out of my supra when i got the bikes. now i notice i drive this car harder than the supra and the bikes.

The Mini Cooper S is a blast to drive and may be another one to consider, you could even get the works package with it. If you don't mind a little american muscle the Mustang Cobra could be another to consider.

didnt drive one was scared, i drove a mustang ( 66 k model in my high school days) lucky to be alive. got the 8 also was afraid to see the 05 stang in person. knew i would buy on impulse.
the other car a was looking at before i got the 8 was a 94 mr2 not turbo. fitted all the needs. could have saved 14k.
damn i just relized i am going to have car payments now.
anyone need a 89supra targa good condtion 280k miles???????

the reason i'm giving up my RX8 is becuase i paying so much for it and i can't even drive it. the FD would probaly be 250 a month compared to the close to 500 a month for my 8 so it wouldn't hurt so much to have the car in shop once in a while. i'm figureing i can use the money i was paying for the 8 (500) and use that for the FD when it breaks down. I'm tryng to find a FD from a local delaer and see if i can buy a warrenty for the car.
the G35 is my scound choice...going to test drive tomorrow
or maybe i'll get another 8... so confused

i know the feeling. i fought myself for a week on the 8 vs z. came down to the ride and how i use the car.
i drive about 100 mile a week for work. got to love the 3 day work week. the rest is pleasure, which is why i have motorcycles.
i have not had a car payment in 15 years so i feel your pain.
might asses your needs honestly and do some research on www.edmunds.com and get what you need. if you have to worry about money you are behind already.

Don't get me wrong, the FD is a great car, but if you're on any sort of a budget it's just not a good purchase.

The new Legacy may be another car to consider. It will be fast, will handle well, and should have more creature comforts than the Z. It will also be easier on the pocketbook when it comes to insurance. The styling is nothing groundbreaking, it's looks nice but outwardly it's more average sedan than sportscar, even though it could beat several sportscars around a track.

i might be getting a promotion soon...hopefully. i was looking at an auto trader and found some used 911s coupes that have low miles with warrenty for a little bit more than what i paid for my 8.
How reliable are 911s for daily drivers?
Is the maintenance cost on 911 crazy expenses like the Ferrari?

zerobanger, curb wt. for 8 is 3053 would bet that is the base. for z enthusiast and they do list it seperate is 3197. i dont know much but i would guess by the time you get to the touring package you have made up the 150 lb. difference. just my opionin i could be wrong.
in the long run, love this car.

the last time I checked 3250 was the weight of the Z also, the 3040 is for a fully equiped rx8. I'm taking mine to get weighed soon.

i researched this stupid stuff for about a month.
the 8 is just vauge says 3058 with popular opitions. to me that is going to be the base with a radio and tires and the extra 12hp we were supposed to have.
would be interesting to see what you weight is.

show me another RWD 4 door 4 passenger car that weighs anywhere close to that.
I'll say it again, while nissan did a better job on the 350Z to keep the weight down than the did on the 3500 lb 300Z, its still very heavy for a 2 seat sporstcar. Just my opinion.
