I would definitely design and build my own car (or have it built).
(1) A 4dr 5 passenger supercar (My family sports sadan)
^probably based on the M5^
(2) A 2dr 2 passenger supercar (for the me and my wife when the kids are not with us)
^probably based on the Viper & Vette
(3) Keep my RX8 but add HP as my daily driver
(4) My version of the Mazdaspeed 6 for my wife's daily driver (she loves her car)
^Probably based on the V6 and not the I4^
(5) State of the art camper for traveling ALL over the place
That's all...heck, I think I would probably just have 3 cars really but that's just a dream...

WAIT....how could we all miss this???
If I was a billionaire I would invest a good amount of money in advancing the rotary engine. I would work with Mazda to advance the rotary engine and hire one CRAZY scientist to keep pushing us for the impossible.
A ROTARY IN EVERY CAR!!!!! LOL

eh, as nice as all the exotics are, I'd build a ton of custom stuff, like 50's cars, muscle cars, sure I'd grab a few ferrari/lambo/pagani etc, but I'd much rather have a bunch of one off stuff that's really hard to duplicate with style and substance, instead of a bunch of off the shelf exotics. Not to slam the exotics, I love all that stuff, especially the technology some of those cars use, simpy mind blowing. I love customs too, I'd love to build a few motorcycles as well
I also think it would be funny to channel something like a Maybach, have it sitting at a red light laying rocker on bags or something, dang that would be fun
**** off all the purists lol

I'd retire immediately and then buy myself a fleet of aircraft that included a slow biplane, a WWII Mustang and a fast corporate jet. Next, I would buy a fleet of cars that included a 1950's vintage Nash Metropolitan, a mid 60's era muscle car and on up to something like a Ferrari to get me to the airport. :D

If I had a million dollars I would have a three rotor turbo 8, and an M5. But if I had a bottomless pit of money... my collection would look like the sultans'.

Bummed, but bring on OU!
Why not just hire someone to design and build your own car. That's what i'd do.
super light, ultra high revving, turbocharged, small displacement V8, awd, with fantastic styling, the best interior money can buy, and so on. I'd even have my own tires made :D

everybody has to dream. So here are mine, in the order of personal preference:
In first place... by FAAAAR
1. Ariel Atom http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/04/frames.htm
2. Lamborghini Gallardo
3. Mazda RX-8
that's it. The rest gets invested (cause billions of dollars aren't enough) and spent on houses, electronics, etc.
why would you want tons of cars anyway? The sultan of Brunei, last i heard, never drives his cars much. In fact, the last report i heard, although years ago, claimed that he only had about 50 miles at the MOST on any of the cars he owned. I'm pretty sure he owns more jewelry or famous paintings than he owns cars... so how the hell does he qualify as a car nut?

dang that atom is nuts. I had to rethink my spending a bit and I decided i would much rather spend my virtual billion or whatever on curing Diabetes, sure it would be nice to have a bunch of sick rides, but I'd much rather do something with it that's a bit more permanent and that saves a lot of people a lot of grief.

are you joking? we're talking BILLION's of dollars here. as much as you like it now that will all change once you start bring in that kind of cash, because there are much faster and more pleasing cars to drive out there. for me, it would be a 360 challenge stradale for daily driving and an enzo on the weekends. of course, i would also have an extensive italian car collection.
