If you had a million dollars?

For a family car I wouldnt mind one of these, its a Lotus Evora. Use $15,000-20,000 to make it even better and use it as my DD. It uses the engine from a Camery but still runs a 5 second 0-60 and gets 30mpg.

It is a Porsche Panamera. I hated it when it first came out but I see them running around here on the roads and grown to love it.
I am also torn on if I would get the Cayman or the 911. It is nothing to lose sleep over. I will never have the money to get either anyways. The closet I will ever get to a Poesche is my Eight and maybe, just maybe a very used Boxster someday.

A million?
I'd start with building something like this: AutoMotorPlex
Sorry, not in Minnesota though. There are better places to enjoy your cars
A million doesn't get you very far in today's world. And they don't even advertise jackpots that low.

I would buy 1 of every car in Mazda's lineup, and then trade them back in for another round of 1 of every Mazda the next year. I would keep doing that until I ran out of money.
Gotta keep Mazda going good, I suppose.
Should last me for quite a few years, at that.
BC.

Me?
Step 1, pay off the house, car, student loans, any other debts.
Step 2, buy a Lotus Evora for my fun car (they have a darker blue that's to die for), and put enough sound deadening in my Honda to make it coffin quiet
Step 3, home improvements
Step 4, save/invest what's left and use my paycheck for bills and fun. Not like you can retire off a million bucks anymore.

It's not that they don't currently have adequate health care. On the contrary, their insurance coverage is provided through my mother's insurance plan via the U.S. military. The problem seems to be that the healthcare providers can only provide "adequate enough" care due to insurance coverage terms. I would rather they receive the best personalized, attentive care possible.
Additionally, I have no selfish need to prolong their lives out of a fear of loss. I just want their remaining time in life to be of higher quality and less suffering than they are experiencing now.

Clear all my debts and then buy about 4 houses to rent for about $200,000 each. That should leave me enough cash to build a Caterham with better power to weight than a Veron. Then wrap myself around a tree at 200mph.

^^my wife has the 4 door wrangler...she friggin LOVES IT...but she's had some random SERIOUS problems with it....steering box went bad and it dropped a valve...thank goodnes it was under warranty!!
So, a million bucks....pay down the house, fix it up a bit and rent that mtfkr!! Buy a nicer house, no McMansion...just something with a garage and 3-4 bedrooms and at least 2 full baths.
Buy that Speedsource RX-8, sign up with NASA or SCCA and track the crap out if it and see if I can make a career out of it.
Invest the rest...keep the day job...for a while
