Did the 6MT sedans always start at $30k? Why do I remember seeing $27-28k (retail) on kbb.com for the 03s at one point?

Did they mention they weight? Probably weights 500 Lbs more than the RX8. I doubt it will handle better than the 8. As for looks, it looks like every other sedan out there, just blahh.

General Specifications: (Not Updated to 2004 Specifications)
Sedans: W.B. 112.2"; O.L. 186.5"; Width 69.0"; Height 57.7"; Cargo Cap. 14.8 cu. ft.; Curb Weight 3336-lbs.
It's not thin and would not be on rails, but being that it's an infiniti with some creature comforts and such things taken into account, 0.87g isn't too shabby on the skidpad for whatever value you give to skidpad numbers.

The G35 sedan doesn't handle as well as the coupe, but mostly due to the softer suspension and crappy tires. Throw some decent tires and the sedan would be an excellent handling car IMO. The sedan feels lighter on the feet than the coupe and can oversteer easier when desired. The 20hp difference is mostly for the sake of marketting, I'm guessing realisticly the sedan makes about 10hp less than the coupe. The G35 sedan is one hell of a car for anyone looking for a true sport sedan under $30k.

Very interesting - the Sedan 6MT also got a 0-60 of 5.6 in October's Automobile as well, and other figures were in line with the C&D review.

Most impressive to me is the braking of 70-0 in 153', which is only beaten at C&D by the Ferrari Enzo at 151' - and this is on 'average' summer tires and regular (not Brembo) brakes. Are Infiniti using very soft pads?

The base G35 Sedan 5AT comes in cloth interior at $28k. The 2004 G35 Sedan 6MT is only available with leather at $29850 (now includes LSD, Sport Package and Winter Package as standard). The Sedan 5AT Leather is $31,100 without LSD, Sport or Winter. These are all MSRP prices, but you can get the G35 sedans for just over invoice ($2k+ savings) - not bad value/performance for the money.

And it, like the Coupe, can also understeer at will, even when *not* desired.

I love the stats posting though... really means a lot to me specially when I've driven all kinds of different cars and found the one that fits me.

An added note... we have the best alternative methods of information about other cars on a forum that's dedicated to the RX-8.

How wonderful for us.

I'm still looking for the rolleyes icon...

Perhaps, you should ban anyone that brings up another car in the "General Automotive" section???

I wouldn't go that far.

I think we know the true criminals from the people that merely inform.

Herc, it's hard for me to tell on this thread if it's just your Skyline Maniac rage overflowing, or if you're anti-supercharger's statistics thread posts. Because superchargers dryly-presented stats posts can make for decent discussion-starters, not to mention he posts them in the correct forum (if this isn't what General Automotive is supposed to be, then I don't know what would be proper usage - not all the forums of the forum are as you say, "dedicated to the RX-8"), I don't know why you'd be ticked...other than the name "Skyline Maniac" showing up.

Which I don't think he did much misinforming here. I didn't see him say anything like "The G35 0wnz0rs the RX-8 in handling, both in coupe and sedan form!!!!!" He just said it handled well for a sports sedan, which magazines agree with if comparisons to the 330i and IS300 are worth any merit in that respect.

Geez....I'm as anti-troll and pro-forum etiquitte as anyone, but come on...

Yea, i've noticed it too...i try not to say anthing thats not factually based, and i never bash the rx8 (i like it), yet i find that there are a lot of haters on this site that attack every post i make just because i own a Z. I only come here to see what rx8 people are doing, how they like their car, and to discuss cars in general only to find out that i'm not wanted. Warning people...if you dont love the 8 or own one, youre not welcome here

Meh, you're probably right... my apologies in advance. I think my troll armor goes on early and often as of late though, I will try to retard it to a point where it's necessary instead of not, like here.

Cheers.

Now if SM would come back and post about the superior handling of the G35, coupe or sedan, as compared to the 8, well...it may even manage to come down to subjective traits, but I think the 8'ers would have it in my eyes, and I'd put in my 2 cents why

Herc - don't get me wrong - I understand with the 'personal history' and all, but...well, everything else has been said before.
Just trying to keep etiquitte level on both sides of the fence

Same here, my friend just bought one and I would like to read more about them since I used to own an FC3S TII. I hope people don't attack me.
