Interseting Mazdaspeed 3 tech

WHOA! Ok, maybe he wouldn't. In reference to the picture above, I would like to see the Mazdaspeed 3 do that to a WRX Sti if at all possible.

The way they eliminate torque steer is brillant on paper, but rmb that it probably wont be as perfect as seen on paper. Like the MS6, they were saying in the advertisment that there is almost no turbo lag, and the 99% of the torque is avalible thru some rpm range, i think its 3000-5500? or redline, i have no idea, but i just know that its not true.
Also its gonna be one complicated ECU in the mazdaspeed3, probably more complicated than the one in the RX-8. However if they crack it, and you can control these things implemented by Mazda, like how much torque you limit thru 1st or 2nd gear, you can play with it to make a much faster car off the line. i.e tune it to the traction limit of the tires.

reposted from part of a post I made in another thread...
I read a review of the MS3 in a JDM magazine last night... comparing it to the GTI. It's only advantage is that a DSG GTI costs like $34k in Japan whereas the MS3 is only $24k. If the prices were closer (as if likely in USDM)... the MS3 would clearly lose. The engine was peaky they said... so so power down low and then the boost hits (and hit hard). Handing is decent, but the larger wheelbase (compared to even the 5 door GTI) can be felt. The GTI had a better torque curve... flat and broad and the steering felt direct they said. The interior quality was (of course) better they said... more luxurious... as it should for costing more. Their overal opinion... the MS3 is a great value, but the GTI is still a better car.
