It is that MUCH faster. Do you know what happens as the speed increases? The s2000 will just keep pulling. Even though the s2000's numbers from 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers are about a half a second faster than an rx-8, in reality that is plenty.
I know I am a new member, but i occasionally visit this forum, as I enjoy reading the posts on here, but EVERY time the s2000 is mentioned on this forum, it always comes down to a debate on which car is the faster car. Some owners saying the rx-8 is faster and others proving with facts the s2000 is. It is ridiculous! I just had to join and voice my own opinion. The rx-8 is a great car because how versatile it is, but the s2000 is a better performing car! That is all.

Thanks for the comments... they are both great cars! Each time I drive the s2k (and have a blast doing so) I gain even more appreciation for the way the rotary engine delivers incredible power at high revs and does it in *such* a smooth fashion!
