sin is ugly
I had a 2001 wrx hatch. Loved the quickness but they are just like that girl with some hot attributes but a face you just can't bare to look at. I LOVE my 8, not a better looking car for sale anywhere.

How can this car look MUCH better? Its the same freakin car as page 1! Just do a comparison. Ok ok.. I think the color is better in the official pictures, still the same though.

ALL of Subaru's designs are CONSERVATIVE and boring from 1970 to now....apart from one model they are a brand and car that my father would own.
The front of this thing looks bloody weird.

The only attractive car Subaru makes is the Legacy. The B9 Tribeca is their ugliest. Subaru has never been known for their styling...the tradition continues.

Well, Suby's aren't really known for good looking cars. Maybe they're just trying to stay true to their crowd. The only "good" looking Suby is the most recent STi, and even that's not a pretty car.
To each their own, I guess. Some people may like ugly all wheel drive 4 cylinders with turbo...

I totally disagree. The SVX, XT, Brat, Baja, Tribeca, and pervious Imprezas were hardly boring. The only really boring design is the one that average people like, the current Legacy. The biggest problem with this new WRX is it might be too conservative and is a little boring. People who like Subarus usually like them in part because of their quirky purposeful looks. Go ahead and call them ugly if you like, but they're hardly boring.

Looks like Subaru took a page out of the Toyota design pholosophy. Make good cars that are boring and you'll rule the automotive world. Sadly, it just won't work for Subaru. I still think the hatch is nice once you ditch that grille, but the sedan gets a big yawn from me.

Ouch - just saw the rear of that sedan and it's showing even more Kia/Toyota influence. Though, unfortunately, I think it's the best feature of either body style.

I hesitate saying this but the sedan doesn't look all that much different than a base Mazda 6. More Corollalish to be sure.
Still find it more appealing than the hatch, but then the hatch is better looking than teh old wagon IMO so...
I'll still wait to see if they can do something for the STI. Some chops I've seen on the STI version hatch have actually look pretty good.
Shouldn't be this hard. Just take an RS4 body design and modify it a little while slapping it on the STI platform. Presto good looking, fast and reasonably priced.

I feel so sad for the Impreza line.
