Judging by the e-mail I posted up, it appears that we are now in a transitional period. Maybe Brice has some specific info or an opinon on where this will all end up but I read into that e-mail that AEM will still design the intakes but who knows which brand name will be on them after the transition is finished. My opinion? It doesn't matter WHOSE name is on the thing as long as it is properly designed. I guess the next question will be which filter will be included in the kit....? Hopefully, the AEM Dri-Flow (or some similar version thereof) so we don't have oily MAF sensor issues.

From a business-model standpoint; I totally agree with AEM's move on this one. Develop the right idea and team up with those who can help you reach larger market(s) and have a potentially lower unit cost. Remember, they are doing this with ALL their applications and NOT just the RX-8.

Yeah from the my sources they were saying that during the transitional period no production would be continued until the finally decided what is going to happen and how.

What ever stock they left will still be sold, no new production will be done to cater to back orders.

The Polished intake is out of stock with a BO status of 4-6 weeks, that is not to say that it won't be back at a later date.
