Any idea what the kabura is going to weigh? They said its going to be light so does that mean 2600 pounds light like the miata or does it mean 3000 pounds light like the 8? if its 2600 pounds, which they can pull off since it is obviously smaller then the 8 and has 1 less seat and 1 and a half less doors, i would be happy if they dropped the current renesis in there (Sure more power would be nice but with the current engine placed in a 2600 pound car that thing would fly.)

its been written that its supposed to be light like....lighter than the miate because the fixed roof will give it ridigity that won't need to be added elsewhere and they can take out some of the bracing used in the miata that costs a lot of lbs.

Whether that is feasible or not, who knows. that is just what I had seen. My hopes are really for sub 2600lbs after all the interior and crash bullshit and i will be happy. 2 seater hatch would be fine with me.

From what I remember, Mazda was aiming for a weight of just under/around 2500lbs. Going through my bookmarks and trying to find a link to back it up.

The location that video was shot at sure looks familiar!

It sounds like a 4 cylinder to me. The "tubular manifold" that people are trying to point out doesn't look anything like a 20B manifold. If you look closely you can plainly see it is a chromed 4 cylinder intake next to a red valve cover.

When I watched it again on full screen it looked much smaller and less quatty.
I could see 2500lbs a possibility but at 20K? Don't see how it would not reek of inferior craftsmanship.

Hopefully. That's assuming I can get on a flight. Every year I fly standby (it's free that way!) and I always get nervous as the flights fill up everytime. Last year I got the last open seat! I'm trying to make it though. Beer locations have been chosen for Friday and Saturday nights!

The current MX-5 starts at 20.5K, and it has won the J.D Power award for initial quality 2 years in a row.

I just got my plane tickets for Sevenstock, this deal better be good!
