List of Japan's Top 50 Cars
This list does not reflect sales, but the opinons of the Japanese public. Not everybody can afford the car they want, or afford a car at all. So this list is based on the opinions of people when asked what car would they get today.

Very interesting. However, there are a number of potential flaws here. First, given how many people voted for the 350Z and G35s, I would bet that more people would choose either of those over the RX-8. Also, the RX-8 is fairly new, and I suspect that in general the newest thing will rank higher than cars that are older.
Nonethless, it's good to see. Now we just need some sort of source or documentation.

This list was posted last year too, can't remember the source though.
Guess which car was tops in '03? The RX-8 (if my memory serves).
Edit: Geez, I just looked at the date of this post. I guess this is the post from last year! Oh well, my memory was wrong, RX-8 is no. 2. (Who's digging up all these old posts?)
