Yeah, a finish probably isn't realistic...one of these days/seasons it would be nice to see them do something RIGHT for a change. I'm just envious of all the $ being dumped into the Acura & Porsche programs.
I'm sure you noticed how Acura did in the Koni series ST class at Daytona.

they put all the 2.4L FWDs at the top!, what bothers me is that they made the TSXs super competitive........ its a sedan! those engines are pumping out a LOT of hp for their displacement too. They'll probably continue to dominate the ST class, no matter which courses they're at, even courses that are supposed to favor RWD i predict, hell, there are very few courses that favor FWD!!!

Found some photos of Mazda's new car with paintjob.
I think it looks pretty decent, now we just have to wait and see.

It's exciting yet depressing to see those pictures. The 6 guys probably are excited. I wonder if their race season will be as exciting and successful as it was for us?

Not neccesarily just the 6's that can be excited. Generally any of the piston motors of Mazda can benefit from the DI technology. (Rotary too) It's just good to see Mazda racing and hopefully winning too along the way. As a 6 owner I follow the SCCA Speed World Challenge closer. Great example of what 6's are capable of, and they still look like the same as a stock car.

The really painful thing is that even if they do match the 1:56.6 time from last year, it's still 9 seconds back from the front runners. This is only the shakedown race for them anyways. They fully expect to get faster as the season progresses.

This car is lighter and has more power. It should be much faster than the old one. This is only it's initial run though as it was just built a couple of weeks ago.
