Look like Nissan is putting the "SKYLINE" back in the GT-R name

Nothing wrong with a Z06 - great machine and i agree sexy. But its personal preference. Here in DFW I see C6's and Z06's all over the place.
For me any automobile purchase is not only guided by performance and how cool/looks but also uniqueness. If I went and bought a Z06 being only 25 years old I would look like a young punk using "daddys money" With a GT-RI'd still get the same looks and stares as I do now with my RX8
There arent really any american cars that I get SUPER fired up and excited about. Mustang GT's, Vettes, Cameros, to me are all a dime a dozen.

+1, Z06 my next ride.

Not a bad idea - but the fact it would be RHD - and all the TVR's area DEATH on wheels (in terms of being minimal with safety) woulndt be good for me, especially having that much power to the wheels.

On 28 February 2007 less than one week after reacquiring TVR, he has reportedly announced plans to sell the company to Adam Burdette and Jean Michel Santacreu, who both have an intent of importing TVR's to the United States market.

The Z06 is in good company on the Top Gear track ... the fact that it can keep with the Porsche GT3 RS is very impressive.

I wouldn't mind betting that the Nissan execs have "faster than the GT3" as one of their performance objectives ...

The question becomes...how much faster than the GT3 because in the March '07 issue of Car & Driver the Z06 was faster by .5 seconds if I read it correctly! Either way I hope we get to see the comparison because it's just that intriguing!

£29,000 for the "base" 6speed manual with 4piston brembos = $57,000 US
£35,000 for the middle 7speed DSG with 6 piston brembos = $69,000 US
£52,000 for the top shelf model = $102,000US
The only difference between the middle and top model from what i read was all the fancy carbon fiber used. I would love to see how much weight savings $30,000 gets you.
My next car will either be the M3-V8 or the GT-R, It would seem that they can be made to compete price wise with each other (base wise at least). If the GT-R doesnt come from the factory fat as hell it looks like THE car to have It certianly wins in the uniqueness factor. The lure of a 7 speed DSG tranny is quite a lot - ive been reading on DSG and while I do love the feel of rowing thru the gears, it seems like a DSG would really do this car good (from a tech standpoint)
