I hate all convertible corvettes with a passion. He sunk a bundle into that car. His loss is your gain, I guess.
If you want to be fast from a dig, get an automatic. Vettes are faster as automatics.
You're not going to be able to run it at the track, because with 750hp, you'll get kicked out once you get a decent run in. For some reason they don't like convertible 11 second cars with no roll cages.

what are you looking for? A 750hp vette is quite a bit different than a 14 second FB. That's about as fast as the 8. It would definitely be a fun toy and project car, but not quite the same as what you were looking at. If you want a bit more pure acceleration, you'd probably want to look at a different rx-7. In the price range you're looking at, I would aim for a really fast FC or FD. I've seen a couple 20B FC's go for around that. If you're not against V8 swapped 7's, then that would also be an option. I also like the viper option mentioned above. Do you want something that's straight line fast, good at handling or both?
