Maxima drivers
Has anyone else noticed that nearly all Nissan Maximas are driven by a$$ho1es? I have been passed on the right through an intersection (from a turn only lane BTW) or otherwise cut off 3 times in the past week, and always by a different Maxima.
Now, I am not a whiner. I really don't care how people around me drive as long as they miss me and I don't have to slam on my brakes to avoid a collision. I am just making an observation.
Is it the way Nissan markets the car that attracts these people? Is there something about the car that transforms courteous and careful drivers into reckless idiots? Has anyone else noticed this, or am I all alone here?

I've never noticed it with Maximas. Other than people in big SUVs and trucks the one I've noticed a lot lately is Scion TC drivers. I get them revving on me, swerving in traffic trying to race me, and just in general being jackasses. Sebrings and Avengers seem to be another big one IME.

I don't know about that, I still see them everywhere. Most of them aren't the current body style, but still plenty of previous generations floating around. Hell, I see more 2nd gen. Maximas than I do Evos, STIs, and RX-8s combined.

I agree with the Scions.. The other day i had one fly up my rear bumper.. We had some fun on an open highway.. It was a quick little car actually.. How fast are these things?

You just proved RX8Maine's point
But I gotta give another mention of the Tc owners. They are popping up like crazy recently in my area. Most of them are driven by cute 20 something hotties but the ones driven by the teenagers tend to be jerks and that is coming from a aggressive driver here lol.

i had a maxima, 95, some bolt ons....1st car. i loved it to death and was a great learning car. learned what rice is, and not to go that route with the rx8. i had it almost 6 years till the tranny died then decided not to dump any more dough into it. they are very under rated. alot mistake it for just another common import pos family car, but with a few mods and a good driver it could make alot of people think twice. of all the "family cars" btwn 95-99 the maxima was def the cream of the crop, only 4door car in that same class i feared was the v6 SHO.
maxima.org and introduce yourself to the ******** lol, i admit there are quite a few on there.........i wasnt one of them tho. ;-)

Yeah it rusted out a couple of years ago. I just went to Midas and had the catback replaced with one of their exhausts, cost me ~300 for the parts and labor.
