Mazda 3 Facelift
Here are some pics of the New Mazda 3 facelift....
These are from the European Spec Mazda 3, I would expect the US and Australian models to have the same/similar appearance.
Changes include...

Torque Improvements with the standard addition of Sequential Valve Timing (SVT).
Electronic throttle Control.
6 Speed manual transmissions.
Suspension/Body..
Damper Improvements
Body Stiffening
Improved Noise suppression and under roof skin insulation.
Redesigned bumpers.
New Alloys
Grille changes.
Lower Skirt (Air dam) changes.
Interior...
Trim color changed.
Dash improvements, white meter clusters, piano black finishers.
Advanced Keyless Entry and Starts System.
Auto Light and Rain Sensing Wiper System.

The Mazda 3 is definately a nice car...Especially the interior, real impressive...I'm glad I once considered buying it, and am still hoping to get it sometime in the future....
The new facelifts are real nice, but I think it makes the 3 look too much like the MS3 now...

Man.. The interior looks very similar to the RX-8. Look at the gauges and the stereo. Sure the stereo may not have the round centered *** or round overall appearance, but it looks like it's the same stereo with a different face on it.

I've driven a 150 Hp 2004 model, pretty quick.
Car feels rock solid, suspension setup just awesome.
Too bad the car developed cabin rattles within the first year of ownership... hope they solved it with this restyling.

It doesn't look that different than the current model interior to me. The current one does already have the integrated stereo and the triple round gauge pod.
I do agree with the family resemblence though... I think it's a good thing. The 8 has one of the nicest laid out interiors. Up the quality of components to Lexus level and I'd say the interior is better than anything *I've* seen from Toyota.

our other car is a mazda3 5dr and i like these new changes a lot. Not enough to upgrade, but it's very nice. We love it btw, easily the best car in it's class. We've got a loaded one and it is very comfortable and decent on gas. Handles great too.

I love the Mazda 3. For the price you get a lot of option, in some case more than you would in a luxury coupe. I guess I ned to get off my butt and see if I could haul my 2 kids in there with no room issue.
