Agreed. Loosing loved ones and family members is always a sad time. This was coming, for a very long time though. Japan isn't safe from the Ring of Fire's earthquake zone. I'm just wondering where the next and when will hit.

Geographic disasters are always sad, hurricanes, tornados, tsunami, volcanos, floods, blizzards... all people can do is to learn from the past and try to build back using nature's rules.

Although Mazda and Honda have announce limited production re-starts from April 4th....the stumbling block to full scale production could be this..

Two key parts factories, one owned by Hitachi Automotive that makes air flow sensors, and another owned by Renesas Electronics, were damaged in the earthquake. Hitachi has 60 percent of the market for the sensors, which are key to making engines run, while Renesas has a 40 percent market share of microprocessors that control brakes, engines and transmissions.
