ford clay model photo- more hints that the LA show debut could be a joint Mazda/Ford car?

This coincides with the info I got about the kabura getting a couple of inches bigger.

*Some could make the opposite case that news about the 2nd generation RX-8 would harm sales of the current RX-8, which is selling OK in non-US markets, and therefore it should be super secret. Then we might even be tempted to hope for a significantly improved 2nd generation RX-8, but it's to soon for a true 2nd generation RX-8, I think. If there is a true 2nd generation RX-8 in the future it should involve engine development (at least direct injection, at most 3 rotor). But wouldn't it be cooler to debut the next advance in the rotary in an RX-7?

OMG
Auto Epress says the new Bigger Beter Mazda 6
will debut at the Franfurt Auto Show and shares platform with next gen Mondeo which is to be based on the Iosis
so larger than the current platform of the Fusion etc which is larger than the current Mazda6.
Says Auto Express

.
so what does that mean for LA and Detroit?.......
Frankfurt Sept. 19-28, 2006
LA Show Nov 29th - Dec 1- 10
Detroit Show(NAIAS) Jan 7- 21 2007
What else does Mazda have to debut since they have been clear they arent bringing a b segment car? there is the CX-5(new name for new tribute) which will be available as a Hybrid and the CX-9 which already debuted at this poast New York but will be hitting dealers in january. and of course -
ACOUPE BASED ON THE KABURA- BRING IT MAZDA!!
Acura, Aston Martin, BMW and DaimlerChrysler Have confirmed they will also have world debuts at LA
New York is going to suck this year

This prototype may not look like much at the moment, but the bold grille and projector-style lights will ensure the finished new 6 is a real head-turner.
The car shares its platform with the next Ford Mondeo. And that means the 6 will be bigger than at present - hence the large wheelarches on this prototype. Engines will be taken from the existing line-up, with a 4WD MPS topping the range. The new 6 hatch, saloon and estate will debut at 2007's Frankfurt Motor Show

Top pic looks like a normal 6 sedan to me, ie doors and door handles....
Check out the woman driving it....what tiny hands you have!...or its
a 16 yo kid....with a ring!
The Mazda 3 uses the Ford Focus platform , so it's no
great revelation that the new 6 will use the new Ford Mondeo one.
