Mazda REPU photo shoot
#13
One day I will own one... one day. I almost bought one but when I showed up to the guys house he had informed me that he swapped a v6 out of a mustang 2 into it. I proceeded to tell him what I thought of him and hopped in my old subie and drove off. I later cried myself to sleep.

Damn!! That is one clean REPU! I hate the wheels but other than that, I'm in love
First time I saw a REPU was the mid 80s. It took off from the stop light like it's *** was on fire.

Thanks for the compliments on the truck but they definitely need to be passed along to the previous owner (who I plan to stay in contact with). He did an impeccable job with the body work and chrome. Lots of NOS parts including the entire truck bed.
I'll have to show my wife this thread when I tell her I want to change out the wheels. The only problem is 6x5.5 lug wheels with an appropriate offset are very difficult to come by. The rims on it now are 16x8 and will rub the front linkage if you turn too sharply. I want to switch the front to 16x7 or smaller and probably keep the rears on 16x8. I need a backspacing of at least 4.75" on a 7" rim to keep it from rubbing or sticking out of the fenders. It's essentially a FWD offset but with a 6-lug pattern. Very difficult to find unless you go custom billet. The off the shelf wheels in this bolt pattern and size are usually for trailers. I'm taking suggestions on various forums as to what should go on the truck. Rims make such a huge difference and I will be choosing wisely when it comes time to switch them up.

I knew there was a rotary truck, and as soon as I saw the triangle on the front I knew what it was. Hahaha quite a piece of history that. Even if a rotary truck makes no sense from a design standpoint.
