Mazda will debut sports car "study" in Franfurt NEXT WEEK

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au...-26017,00.html
CONCEPT cars are a fascinating window into the inner workings of makers, and can be a reliable barometer of health.

When Mazda unveils a sportscar study at the Frankfurt motor show next week, it will be just the latest in an impressive series of concepts which demonstrate that design is alive and well at the Hiroshima-based company.

this should be interesting

Sweet. Wonder if its a closer-to-production Kabura?

So what "Future" year is this car gonna be aimed at? The year 2055? or 2097? One thing I havent liked about their concepts recently is their far off well targets. Give me something that will most definatly be coming out. I know some of their previous concepts have already worked their way into the Mazda line up but a cue here or there that is subtle to me isnt worth all the hype.

Study doesn't sound like prototype, but I'll take what I can get.

each of the flow design concepts has been closer to a production than the previous one. they unveiled them that way on purpose

I really liked seeing some of the "flow" design aspects translated into the '08 Mazda6. It has really made that car beautifuly balanced in apearance.

I have a feeling that anything Mazda puts out will impress me, if I set my hopes for rotary aside.

I still cannot get over how stunningly beautiful the new mazda 6 is. I know the backend is a bit sebring like, but come on, compare it to cars on the road and the current trend in design, then you'll start to appreciate how nice the car is. And I've said it before, the AWD option will be the deciding factor for buyers.

And this news is exciting, if Mazda can successfully capture a bigger market with the new 6, they can make good use of the profit to make a killer sports car.

I dont think we should isolate any part of the car an say is ugly, I think you should look at the complete packege, as the complete packege it is the best looking sedan in its class

It looks like Mazda debuted the new Mazda 6 and is also showing the Sassou.
