I don't think the styleing is outdated.

But I do think the new Miata(refuse to call it MX-5) is ugly as sin. The 2nd Gen Miatas were perfect.

Funny, to me the NA (1st-gen) miata was the classiest, most subtle of the three.. the NB got clusterfscked by its non-barndoor lights, and the NC.. time will tell. I like it in the sheetmetal.

As for our lights.. I like 'em. They have shiny bits, but the shiny bits don't look like they came from wal-mart

In other the 8's look good because they're kinda satiny / brushed, and not fake chromed plastic.

As for the 8's ***.. could be worse.. could be like a c-5 vette. I like it just how it is right now. Baby got back!

Not if I can help it; these are far and away the ugliest trio of taillights in existence. Two things nissan consistently **** up and know nothing about--interiors and rearends.

I see quite a bit of difference between they typical "altezza" and the RX-8 tail light. Much more detailing in the RX-8 light. Go look at one up close with the lights and blinker on...

You can definately spot the price difference.
