so whats the point of the rx8? if its the "sportscar" mazda says it is then why wouldn't they make it at least the fastest in their line up...i think they need to focus on powering up the rx8 before the 6.....thats all we need is another turbo'd 4 door econo box's dust to eat.

PS: Does Portland have a RX7/8 club?? You might come up to Olympia, WA. on the 2nd Monday of each momth. Currently, I am the only 8 in the bunch!

well i dont know about trading up tothe 7 :D i wouldn't trade the 8- 1. because it is simply the best car i have ever driven. 2. because with our first child due in november my wife wouldn't let get rid of the 4 seats for 2 :o now if i have the money at the time then i might get one, of course then i would need to add on to the garage
i tell you true though if this MPS6 had been out before the 8 i would be on a different forum now.
on the club front we have Rotary Power NorthWest (RPNW) i have been to a couple of their meets/gatherings but haven't joined ( i really should do that) yet. i'd love to make an olympia meet but i work until 8 on mondays and i dont suppose you want to change your meeting nights just for me?!

Mazda had better either undercut the EVO and STi in price or top them in performance or else I don't see it going very far. It'll be one of those tweeners that will attract some people that will cross shop it with the R32, but most enthusiasts will still take the better bang for the buck cars such as the STi, WRX, EVO.
