Have you ever seen an Auburn Boattail Speedster? Here's the best picture I saw on-line:

For modern cars, I think the 91-96 Corvette convertables are truly beautiful. That and the Porsche 928. Why Porsche stopped that line, I'll never understand.

Jaguar XKE

The Cord is an excellent candidate as is its Indiana cousin the Avanti. But for beauty, not just as a car but as pure form, how can there be any other choice than the E Type?

My favs

I'm partial to the E-Type Jaguar (Series I and II) because my stepdad has one. I love the shelby Daytona and the Ferrari Daytona Spyder.

How come you guys never mentioned this car? It's damn sweet. It's called the RX-something.

Ha ha. But seriously, Aston Martin's are just pure class. Freaking James Bond drives it!

Oh yeah!!! My favorite...

Penned by Sergio Scaglietti. There were 39 Ferrari GTO 250s made between 1962-64. They are worth a bundle---IF they are in great shape and have no "stories" or suspicions about them--about $7 million to $9 million dollars each.

Are there any cars that could claim that 20 years after introduction? The Lamborghini certainly couldn't... it would look like an old-school exotic. The Testarossa had an incredible balance of clean lines and cutting-edge styling. You could put it alongside the latest exotics and it doesn't really show age.

Ahhh yes the Pinninfarina trademark. I LOVE the 512 TR with those side strake/air inlets. There is a guy that lives near my neighborhood that has a one. I've only seen a couple of those cars.

That Jag is such a wannabe, eh? IMHO, it doesn't even look that great. Sort of like a bastard child between a Crossfire and RX8. I do however find the trunk interesting. Doesn't the new Mazda 5 van have that kind of trunk? Anyhoo, yucky!

How much does that thing run for?

Not sure. It's just a concept. It has a V-6 Diesel engine also.
