I am sorry but stock Mustangs are not that fast. From the '80s on the Z cars has always trumped it in performance.The regular Mustangs(non Roush, Saleen, Cobra,etc) are great from 0-75, but once they start hitting tripple digit speeds they run out of steam quickly. I had a '99 35th anniversary Mustang and with its V8 it was great from light to light runs , but highway runs was down right silly.
Even in that drag race i kinda knew what was going to happen. The Z and the Mustang would be neck and neck for a few seconds then the Z was going to pull away. The Hp and gearing in the Z is what makes it have the edge over the Mustang.

I think the 2010 version looks pretty cool, better than the new Z styling.
