Rumors in the Honda camp say that this could be the GM engine that Honda and GM bargained.
Honda made an engine for Saturn (I'm not sure, but I heard it's in the VUE) and GM sold Honda an 8 cylinder...
This is all rumors and speculation of course.

wtf, that makes absolutely no damn sense. Why would Honda need to get an engine from GM? Not that GM V-8s are bad, but considering that the F20C is way more sophisticated than any production engine GM has ever built, Honda engineers could probably figure out how to build their own V-8.
Maybe this is the engine that the new NSX will use? I still think Honda should make a V-12 for the new NSX. I mean they only sell like 20 of them a year anyway, so they might as well go all out.

Edit: About the GM comment, if GM built this engine, they would have used it in one of their cars a.k.a. the corvette.

Mugen is a tuner, not an auto manufacturer, or engine manufacturer for that matter. They make their work from tuning.
That would be like saying Mazdaspeed made an engine...it doesn't make sense.
Nor does the GM thing, but it's all food for thought.

Alright, I can't seem to find the article I was reading, but I know for a fact Mugen makes formula engines, and this is one of their engines...not Honda's or GM's.
